New Website ‘Displays’ the Custom Store Fixture Business
(Chino, CA) - A new web site has launched that uses video and numerous interactive picture galleries to provide Appliance Industries and other OEM Markets a unique view of the Store Fixture Manufacturing Business. The site provides businesses a better understanding of the numerous types of store fixtures available to the retail stores, mass merchandisers, grocery chains, franchise companies, and other users of POP displays.
"The site was designed to give merchandisers a small window into the actual process behind fixture and display manufacturing," said Cliff Goldman, special consultant at Clockwork Agency. The site is designed to offer information and visual depictions of the various product lines, Goldman said. "Unlike other fixture manufacturing sites, the Top-Shelf web site lets you take a virtual tour of the facility and learn a little more about the process behind the final products," he said. Goldman noted that the frequently updated site is also the only one to provide a comprehensive visual collection of product lines available.

A Move Towards Green for Display Manufacturer
(Chino, CA) - Top-Shelf Fixtures has just changed their chemical vendor of choice for their in house 740 foot powder coating line to Houghton Industries. This change in chemicals not only increases the beauty of its finely manufactured products but it substantially decreases the amount of energy consumed.
Powder coating chemicals are needed to clean the soils and lubricants off the parts before powder coating. Typical chemicals for this process would be a two in one chemical. The drum of chemical would consist of a cleaning package and a phosphate package mixed together in one. Phosphate is a chemical process that will prepare the metal parts for powder coating that promotes adhesion.
Sean Landeros, of Houghton Metal Finishing, says “these new chemicals have low energy requirements and lower environmental impact and negligible waste in use.” He continues to note that “there is negligible waste in use and a high efficiency as opposed to traditional chemistry. Temperatures can be lowered from 130-140 degrees to 80 degrees and even run at ambient temperatures.”
“If we can continue to upgrade our processes to help the environment we will”, adds Alonso Munoz, President of Top-Shelf Fixtures. “Lower temperatures from a typical chemistry will reduce energy consumption dramatically and lead to more efficient, less wasteful results.”
